This is interesting: my work has started a Health & Wellness program & one of the activities they provide is a program called "Oxycise!" that I participate in during lunch. I think "Oxycise!" is helping my MS considerably. It could just be in my head but I really think that it helps to relax me. It is a breathing technique that is supposed to get rid of the bad toxins that we breathe in while inhaling oxygen when we are just breathing. It is also supposed to help people lose inches & to tone muscles in the body. I'm not so concerned with losing inches but I am very interested in the disposing of toxins & breathing in oxygen which helps to clear my head, & to give me a "breath of fresh air" during the middle of my workday! That may sound silly but I really do feel that way! I can tell a difference in my arms which seem to be more toned. I also exercise at the gym which makes a huge difference in the way that I feel. I know people say "go to the gym, you will feel much more energized & better about yourself" & while I know that is a great attitude, it is harder to clear a spot in a day to go to the gym for an hour than it is to listen to the fabulous attitudes! When I don't go to the gym, I am tired & I drag around with little energy. When I go to the gym, I don't want to sit down when I get home! I am so much more motivated to clean or cook dinner or just watch TV without lying down & napping! It's so weird that I can go exercise & use so much energy & then have so much when I get home versus when I don't go to the gym & I get so weak & tired. I guess exercise really is important!
Well, that's all I have for now. Maybe next time I won't wait so long to post again. It's fun to explain myself to other people who understand what I'm saying!
