My Experience With Vertigo

By Jackie Tuesday, November 04, 2008

My third attack with my MS was problems with my vertigo and I had it for a couple of months. Driving a car was out of the question, slight turn of the head had me spinning, walking around the house was holding walls and furniture then there was the rush to the bathroom to throw up. It was not a good couple of months. Then it was off to the hospital again to have steroid treatment again, they wanted me to get a wheely walker (walking aid for old people.) Well I wasn't going to get one of those, their for old people I'm only 42 I don't need one of those yet.

Even though I'm a lot better now I still get dizzy spells, turning quickly, bending over etc.

These are things to stay that I will have to live with from now on.

I am so sorry you are experiencing this.  I have not had vertigo yet like you describe.  I get off balance and a little dizzy but not spinning dizzy.  Would dramamine help at all?  MS is a big bully for sure.  I hope you don't have this again.

HEllo Jackie and welcome to our community.  There are lots of folks here - medical experts and MS sufferers alike - who can be helpful with information or a shoulder to lean on when things are tough.

Vertigo sounds really horrible.  I hope you have been able to somehow find relief from this.  Post back when you can to let us know how you are fairing.

All the best, sue (moderator)
