True : Not always MS

Hello - just read a post by Julie .. Not Always MS ... and it got me thinking how true this is ...

For many of us , whenever we feel out of kilter , we tend to first think , MS ... and along the path I found this to be a key to getting help .. when things turn out to be a non-MS related issue , there is some relief ...

I wrote a comment on Julies' sharepost .. as to the educating my PCP about MS and people with MS...

Asked to share

Sharing is important to me .. especially as I am withdrawing from Xanax ... and I have read all the comments and am grateful to you all who did ...

I was informed that this drug can be highly addictive ... and yet was also told that I would probably NEED it for LIFE ... don't think so ... at the time it was orginally prescribed I did need it ... and the increases came gradually over the last 7 years ...

So in response to some...

Love my pharmacist .. they actually called my doctor and spoke with her assistant about this situation as I received a call from the doctor within a half hour ...

Gary, the asst. said I need you to take a full dosage of the xanax now .. so I did .. he then said that the pharmacy and the doctor will have a better weening proggram set up by days end ...

I am determined to get off this menacing drug and so I will wait for the call...

Treatments, research , etc .....

Well, did some thinking .. and have to say this .. that I was curious about how many of us are in "therapy" for what ails us ?

This is one issue I recommend here or there .. but will now just come out and say it .. I feel it is imperitive to have it .. all the doctors, pills , physical therapies in the world are wonderful , but most forget the "mind" ..

One of the main places of attack .. so I do advocate getting thearpy from...

My response to my diagnose

I read a very compelling story written by a mother , Merely Me, who asked us to share our initial reaction when dx'd officially with MS ...

Mine was sheer exhaustion .. perserverence to get dx'd , as I maintained my calmness throughout the process ended in sheer exhaustion .. it was like I was holding my breath for the 7 mths. that it had taken ..

Happy & relieved were also there .. as I was also handling...

Experts ??

Hello - I was wondering, as usual, about the bantering about of the word "expert" ???

Quite a few of my shareposts discuss this .. and my question is always the same , when it came to doctors who claim to be "experts" in the field of MS or Fibro ...

Now I see we have experts popping up all over the place here ? Expert bloggers, expert moderators, expert in what ???

What I am trying to say is , there is no such...

Bad reaction

Hello - once again I am writing about this situation of drug interactions ... or reactions ... finding that the neurontin is not working for me .. not sure yet of the baclofen .. as I have had several reactions and today being the worst ...

Woke up at 3 a.m. with severe pain, nausea and then of course the diziness , et al. ... that now I plan to cease using this drug ... was suppose to take two a day at 300 mg. , could you imagine...

Moving on ....

Hi all - it took me sometime to just move on .. as I am now making newer better plans for my move from NM ... I have chosen AZ , near Scottsdale .. and will be going there over Labor Day week to look at some places ...

I am happy .. I am happy because I feel good , with the occasional tight chest from panic , but I know what it is so I can just stop before it gets too bad ...

Since I will be looking at a December move ... I...

Moving stress #2

Hello - it has been a while .. and while I was in FL trying to help my mom .. i got lost .. lost in her situation, caught up in her drama and realized that no matter what I do , or what I come up with , in the end she makes the ultimate decision ...

Things were pretty rough .. and I came back early, for my own sanity ... my brother here went down to finish up packing and aid in the physical stuff .. although we did do 6 large boxes...
