I never had asthma, serious respiratory problems, or high blood pressure until 1994; before that my blood pressure was actually on the low side.  As I got older, and heavier, my blood pressure increased and I was able to manage that with medicine.  In 2006, however, I began to hav...

    Denise,

I'm sorry to hear about this more recent development.  Imagining not being able to breathe efficiently makes me uncomfortable.  And you are living through it.

Sounds like you are becoming (or long since past the point of) DOCTOR TOXIC!!  An overdose of doctors and medical mysteries.  Too bad it's not that easy to just detox.

Hope that you feel better enough to attend that grandbaby's birthday.

I am feeling better now that the coughing is under control, but as I said in my post I never know when it is coming back.  I really think it is some kind of muscle spasm but the last scan I had showed a nodule or lesion on my lung and the doctor couldn't do a biopsy because (drum roll please) I was coughing too much even under the anesthesia!

Crazy making, isn't it? I wrote this post because I know many people live with multiple conditions and it is important to acknowledge that and to urge people to make sure that new symptoms are not just written off as being associated with the condition already diagnosed; some people really do have more than one thing wrong with them.  For years my MS was considered to be related to my spinal surgeries, which some of them may be but the lesions on my brain and the other MS symptoms aren't, so finally it was diagnosed properly.

Hope you are well and having a nice summer.

    Denise
