multiple sclerosis, diabetes, optimal health
My mother died of MS after 13 years with the disease, and I was diagnosed in 1999. Fortunately, my background as a medical professor, editor of a medical journal, book author and author of over 100 publications in the medical literature enabled me to search the literature and find ways of minimising the risk of further relapses. I have had no relapses now since 1999, and have put this information on my website www.takingcontrolofmultiplesclerosis.org and in my book published by Allen and Unwin 'Overcoming Multiple Sclerosis: an Evidence-Based Guide to Recovery'. My passion is to change the current paradigm of multiple sclerosis from a disease you can do little about, to one that you can control and potentially recover from with the right lifestyle changes and rigorous attention to health.
