I say that as my legs are aching as I sit on my couch writing this post. Well another Challenge Walk is over for me - my 3rd now. And it was a great experience - even with sore feet, sore legs and aching hips. And the reason why it was great is because I was once again able to do it all. And I was jo...

By the time I reached the end of your post, I had a tear in my eye. The thought of this wonderful group of people at the base of the Washington Monument really got to me.

You are an inspiring woman surrounded by an amazing group of people. I feel proud to know you!

Suddenly, I feel pumped up for the NMSS Blue Ridge Chapter's spring MS Walk!

Thank you for all you do!

    Mandy,

Thank you for your comment. Actually, the Blue Ridge Chapter walked with us this year. It was a small contingent, but I think they had fun. It really is amazing. When I think of some of the people that walked, I get tears in my eyes. It is a very emotional weekend.

Good luck with the walk in April. We will be here at the DC one hopefully - we had to miss it two years in a row because of family events but thus far, nothing is that weekend. We will have to figure out the logistics for soccer as both girls will have games that am. But at least thus far, they have chosen the MS Society events over soccer.

    Adrian,

I know I get more out of the walk than I give. The stories of the others are way more inspiring than what I do. It was a honor walking.

Hope all is going well in your life. Have you moved yet? I thought I'd write and read more but September got a bit crazy - work, training, fundraising, life in general, etc.

You are a true inspiration.  Thank you for all that you do.

hey, guess what?  I spoke with Kevin (DC chapter NMSS) on Saturday morning about this writing stuff.  He immediately asked me if I knew you.  The event we were at was the annual educational workshop led by our neurology clinic.

I told him that you were inspiring me to get more involved.  Wink

    Lisa,

I told Carol I couldn't make it because of the Walk. The first time I did it, she couldn't believe it. But after doing it the first year, I almost feel it is a calling to walk since I still can and so many others can not. I am always looking for team matesSmile.

I am going to the womens day in a few weeks, maybe we will meet.

Thanks for the comment and for thinking of us this weekend. The weather held out and so many people that walked that had MS were saying how great it was that the sun and heat weren't out for almos all of the walk. Cloudy, not pouring was good, very good!
