  1. Health Care Needs at Wal-Mart

After reading your post, I wanted to comment that the only health care offer from Wal-Mart that I use is the $4.00 generic prescriptions. They save me a ton of money every month. As to walk-in clinic type of set ups, I think they should only be used for colds, flu and earaches. They may flag something bigger or more serious, but they shouldn't venture forth to treat such. Just my opinion.  Thanks for writing this column. I check back often. Anne

  2. Steroids

Regarding prednisone used for MS flares, prednisone is so unbelievably cheap in cost, that I use it for a flare before I resort to SoluMedrol IV which is fairly expensive (in home or in hospital). Regarding steroid issues and athletes, knowing all that we do about the damage they do to our bodies, I can't fathom anyone wanting to be on a steady diet of them. Any steroid plays havoc with your brain, and anabolic steroids are even more dangerous for that reason.  Maybe Clemens "forgot" he took them!  It seems like him against a group at the hearings.
