    Thanks for your post Mandy.  It does seem like someone is always looking out to make a buck, don't you think?  And those who are really desperate and have few scruples will take advantage of just about anyone in any circumstance.

     

    So it is really important to be wary of any kinds of calls or emails or snail mail that comes to you.  As you say, when a cure comes the right people will know first!

     

    If anyone is unsure about something they receive in the mail, it would be best to check with their own doctor first (if you need one, try our doctor locator).  Additionally, maybe a support group or national organization like the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation can help clarify what is legit and what is not.
