    Mandy -

Out of all the family visits I've made in my life, I probably can only remember what was served at a couple of dinners. The food wasn't memorable (although I'm sure it was delicious); the people and conversations were!

Of course we want things to be perfect for our guests. But they will remember you, not the meal you serve. I've made the mistake many times of focusing on the meal, not my guests, and then sitting down exhausted. This is a good reminder to let that thinking go!
