I have met some absolutely wonderful people on-line who I otherwise would have never met if it were not for the computer. This disease does tend to make one feel very alone. You might look fine but you have all these odd symptoms which are so very hard to explain. It helps to find someone who you can talk to who will understand what you are going through. Sometimes you just don't feel well enough to get out for a cup of coffee with anybody. The on-line experience allows the person who suffers from illness to connect without ever having to leave home, and sometimes while sitting around in your PJ's. Thank goodness for the internet.

In some ways the computer has been a life line for me. I've met many wonderful friends from all over the world on mine. I have also had several come to visit, a young man from England,a woman from Australia, quite a few from my own state too. I have several pen pals that have become good friends also. We can chat about anything which is awesome. Without these people my life would be very lonely.
