Every Thanksgiving for the last five years, Jake and I have traveled to New England to break bread with some of my extended family. Because individual family members are scattered around the country, it takes awhile to make the rounds, and we only get to see some people once a year. The drive to New ...

Mandy, you apparently did not get the memo, MS makes you " More beautiful".  There you go the secret is out.  That is the only good thing about MS, it makes us more pretty than before.  Because it takes a toll on our physical bodies, it brings out all of our inner beauty.  Which in turns shows on our faces.  With all of the progress that they are making with the new pills, we are going to soon be almost good as new.  So Mandy, hang in there with me, cause we are going to be beautiful together!  Enjoy New England.  I know that the country is a beautiful as you are!

So we're beautiful, huh? I'll go with that! Such a lovely way of taking a negative and turning it into a positive.

    Thanks for the smile!Smile

You have such a beautiful way of expressing things, Mandy. Thank you so much for sharing part of your holiday with us in such a warm, open, and intimate way.  Yes, we all change over time, regardless of what path our life takes us down, and isn't it nice to be able to share our journey with people we love and who love us.

I am happy that your MS remained a silent guest, but even if it hadn't you have proven that you are a strong and positive woman who would have brought joy to the group no matter how you felt.  And I believe the relationship you share with Jake must help you as you travel the road to New England, or wherever you go, even down the street.  A strong, caring friend and partner always enhances the journeys we take in life.  Thank you again for a beautiful piece. Denise
