Vicki is one of those women that you gain strength from simply knowing her.  She writes about her disability in a way which is genuine but never self-pitying.  Vicki is an extraordinary writer and provides a wealth of information about MS on her personal blog.  It is my personal opin...

I was most moved by Vicki's reaction to finding out she had MS and her truth that all of these feelings, since we are human, revisit us and need dealt with somehow, again and again. There is no setting we can turn ourselves onto and leave it there, to run the next time.

I have to say, that is one line-up of symptoms and yet, a way has been found to cope and enjoy what gifts there are. A perfect Christmas interview and like all the others, an inspiration, and you and she have my respect. I can use all of this to be a better friend to someone. Thank you both.

I am so thankful for those who share their knowledge and insights as Vicki does here. Her strength comes through, even though she tells us,  its not always there.  Somehow knowing folks are not always strong, but always trying to be seems to be the most inspirational thing.

MerelyMe you make me blush.  Your words were so kind.  This interview idea is great and I have enjoyed reading all of them.  I think they are and will be helpful -- I would have learned when first diagnosed.  Actually, I learned when answering the questions.  I should have done that from the beginning.  Thanks for the exercise.

I also appreciated the comments.  I hope I said something that is helpful.  I do recommend you document the course of your disease.  I think you will find strength and comfort as you take control.

Good luck, and may you find peace this holiday season.  Merry Christmas.

I've known Vicki for more than 30 years and she has been a pioneer in every area.  She has seen me through many phases of my life. She's been my pillar of strength many times.  A very smart lady. She has served as my editor and she's great at it!

She is a prolific writer and a bit of a techno-geek.  Read her blogs; visit her sites. See what I'm talking about!

    Go Vicki!

Thanks for the wonderful information.  Vicki, you are truly an inspiration!  I was diagnosed 6 months ago and when the Home Nurses phone, the first thing (before I say hello) is ' Nothing Negative"!  I believe that a positive attitude is the best thing I can do for myself, my husband and four children (12,10,6 & 6).  I keep telling them that I am going to try to be the person that has MS and you'd never know it!  I loved reading your story!  THis is the first website I have been on that is positive reference for me.  So many other websites scare me!  I have a long life ahead...the key word is LIFE!

    Thanks so much!
