It is bad enough to have Multiple Sclerosis but sometimes this disease is associated with having other health disorders.  Some MS patients, for example, will have a seizure disorder in addition to having MS.  The Mayo Clinic reports that:   "Epileptic seizures occur more freq...

Good information -- different types of seizures and the greater incidence where MS is involved.  I will be thinking of you.

I had a seizure about a month ago and was taken to the hospital. I had never had one before and it scared me to death, I had similar things happen to me but didn't have the aura vision, instead I could hear everyone but could not open my eyes and couldn't speak to them for about 25 mins. I also don't have family history of any kind of seizure disorder. They did do an EEG and didn't find much, my neuro said he didn't believe it was from my MS. I had a similar episode two days ago and it only lasted about 15 mins. This time felt very over heated and lighthead just before.

Take care and always be careful

Merely:

I'm sorry that you have to deal with seizures as well as everything else. Perhaps it's some comfort that it's part of MS and not another separate issue brewing?

I haven't had seizures but have had the strange zig zag vision a couple of times. One time it was so bad I was practically blind, but it didn't last too long -- the worst part lasted about an hour and faded until I was seeing normal after another hour. The first time it happened, before my diagnosis, I was told it was an 'eye migraine' and I had been out playing tennis in the mid-summer heat. My neurologist later told me that was vertigo -- but I've since dealt with vertigo and that is different.

Another time it happened while I was laying on the couch in a cool house. The worst time, it occurred while I was driving. There seemed to be no particular pattern or reason (except that first time). I don't get headaches or migraine so now I attribute it to MS.
