Beta, I hve worked all my life, I started when I was 15 yrs old, I am not 50.  I was told at the ripe age of 44 that I had MS all of my life, but at age 44 is when MS decided to finally make it's apperance.  Boy did my life change.  Mostly everyone on this site has read my life story.  I went from walking four miles every morning before work to barely being able to walk four steps down the hall of my home.  I have broken my ankle, leg knee and shoulder, just from trying to walk, I am no longer able to work, even though they still have me on roll, go figure, I have applied for disability and yes I too have been turned down.  But the last laugh is really going to be on them!Laughing  I am sure that it is in your case also.  Go down to the Social Services offices apply for medicaid to help pay for your med, and it will help with your children also, hey we have worked an paid into this system use it.  Apply for FS it will keep you from being hungry.  My grandpa and daddy always said, pride never filled nobody's stomach nor can you cook it!Wink  When they do give you yours and my disability and they will they dummies will have to go back a back pay us.  My lawyer told me that when Nixon, God rest his soul was in office he down sized ss offices, and they were told to turn down a certain amount of claims.  Now how true that is I do not know, but it is not smart, because they have got to back pay us, and some of us are going to make out like a fat rat!Surprised  So just look at the bright side I know it looks grim right now, but hang in there it will get better!  sherry/smomdukesKiss

Beta I feel your pain, but do not give up there is a pot of gold at the end of that rainbow, just keep going.  In my first reply I had some information as to what you could do to help you out in your situation, I hope that you got some of that information before it got removed.  Keep your head up all is not lost.  sherry/smomdukesKiss

Sorry the post is still there my computer today has a mind of it's own, and is doing it's own thing.  I am ready to toss it, but I cannot right now purchase another one, just yet, but get to Social Services, I am positive that they can help you , but do not go on Monday's or Friday's but be there at 8:00 on the nose, in early out early!  If you re not able to go they can come to you or they can do it over the telephone, they have too, do not let them fast talk you!
