Primary Progressive MS

At a Glance

Primary-Progressive MS (PPMS) is a subcategory of Chronic-progressive MS.  PPMS has no remissions and progresses gradually from the first onset.  Minor improvement is possible once it levels off.  Improvement occurs in about 10% of patients.
