Multiple Sclerosis is an expensive disease. The costs of living with a chronic disease are high with medication, co-payments, and multiple types of treatment. The cost of MS medications increased by 25% in 2010. Patients should first seek generic drugs, which are less expensive than brand name drugs. Relapses can bring additional, unexpected medical costs.
