At a Glance

Proper diet will not replace medications for treating multiple sclerosis, but eating properly can be a supplemental therapy. Sugars, dairy and gluten, among other things, can trigger MS symptoms so eliminating them from your diet is a good move. It is also important to keep the immune and nervous systems healthy by ensuring vitamins like vitamin D and niacin are part of your diet.
