Pain down the backs of both legs, becoming more frequent. Anyone else have this?
I have not been diagnosed with MS; however, I have had late stage Lyme disease for 18 years (misdiagnosed for the first 7) and fibromyalgia for 30 years. I've developed a new symptom over the last 3 or 4 months that has me concerned, since it's becoming more frequent. I awaken about 4 days a week with pain down the backs of both legs, from butt to ankles. Feels like I pulled/sprained/over-exercised every muscle in my legs, but I didn't. Sitting, standing, lying down hurt. The pain does not subside with movement or as the day goes on. The next day, I may wake up feeling the same or feeling no pain at all there. I have been on antibiotics for recurring Lyme during this time (as I have been doing throughout the past 10 years), but that has made no difference. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
Have you had any MS testing done? I have heard that Lyme disease and MS are very simliar and many times are misdiagonsed on both sides.
I have had pain in my legs from my knees to my ankles. It feels like a pulled a muscle or strained a muscle, I also have what feels like shin splints. I have tried to stay active and do run when I can. However, there is no rhyme or reason as to when I feel like this. I may not have ran for a week and still have this feeling so I do not think it has to do with exercise at all. Not sure why but it passes eventually. I have been along the lines of kind of taking things as they are. So when something comes up, I hope and pray it passes.
