I'm having a totally miserable day with an attack of HUG choking me around my neck and thoat and TN. Are these 2 horrible sx connected? I can't find any reasonable responses on the med sites.

Hi Maris,
I am so sorry to hear you have both of these. No one should have to deal with even one. I have never read anything that connects the two.
I have no experience with the MS Hug, but I am very familiar with TN. I guess that doesn't mean there is no relationship. This is MS, and each person has a different set of symptoms. I hope they are not always together for you.

Hi Vicki,
The hug has come and gone a few times since then. As a matter of fact, I'm having similar pain, but I'm not sure if it is really HUG or connected to my messed up spine. It's not choking me, but I feel in in back, side, and chest. Whatever it is, it hurts way too much.
The TN is mostly in place - lol - but is more of a numbness on most of the rt side of my face. I've only been getting the shooting, electrical shocks occasionally
.
I have asked Dr. Kantor from "Neurologique". He thought that my idea of a connection was interesting, but I don't know if he's done anything about it.
Feel as good as you can.
Maris
