I have to go on SSD, but, what am I supppose to live on in the interim?

Shelly

I am 53 and getting a divorce after 30+ years, I have RRMS, (my husband is in "denial"), thats a nice way of saying he doesn't want to deal with it.  I am raising my 2 grandsons, my house is paid for, but, I am going to have to sell it, because I can't buy him out. My work is ending in a month, and I will be "waiting" to be approved for SSD... I don't know what to do! I am scared, and will have no income after working all my life. Where will I live? How will I live? I cry every night. Don't know what to do. My medicine copays run about 350 to 400 per month.

Hello Shelly.   I am so sorry to hear about everything you are going thru.  This is a difficult time for you and the stress can't be good for your MS.  I have you ever thought about doing work at home customer service.  I am currently a work at home independent contractor with LiveOps, a web based call center that does customer service for different companies.  I work when I want to.  The money is o.k.  No expenses for commute, no hassle of a boss, set your own schedule.  There are other companies out there that offer work at home positions  check out http://www.ratracerebellion.com/CS_Comparision.html

ok. so I see the link isn't working for you.  I posted the link for the question about being a single parent with MS and not being able to work, and it worked for her.  Just copy and paste it and it should bring up the website.
