    Hiyah Kathy

Yeah abnormal reflexes whether they be non-existent or exaggerated can be a symptom of Multiple Sclerosis.

If you go to your doctor or neurologist the test they do with the little hammer can tell a lot.

Here are some of the tests they may do and what they look for.

I know whenever I have go see my doctor, she usually notes whether there is a difference in the reflexes in one side of my body over the other.  I have had times when my  right leg will shoot up due to her tapping.  This could be due to spasticity or a well placed lesion.

I also found a thread in a personal blog where people talk about this very symptom.

Have you already been diagnosed with MS or are you in the stage of finding out?

Let us know if you need any more information...we will be glad to help you out.
