Hi CeeCee,

20 yrs.? I was diagnosed in 1989.  It sounds so long when we say it. It doesn't seem fair that it returned now that you are a wife and mother.

Do you take any medication? If not yet, and you still have relapsing and remitting periods, your doctor may choose to start you on Betaseron®.  If you no longer have relapses, your doctor may prefer to start you on a program of Tysabri® or Novantrone®.  These are the only medications currently FDA-approved for Secondary Progressive MS.  Medication will not necessarily spur a remittance, but it could make you feel better and slow the progression.

Otherwise, just take care of yourself, try to avoid stress, and talk to your neurologist. Good luck with this unpredictable disease.
