Hi Manal,

 

Thanks for your question.  I'm not a medical professional, so please don't take this as any type of medical advice.

 

I believe that Solumedrol is diluted in Normal Saline.  There may be other fluids as can be inferred on this webpage.  I've only received Solumedrol at the Infusion clinic where the nurse prepared the solution and flushed the line.

 I have exacerbating remitting MS.

These flares are usually taking place during a change of season ie. mine occur typically change of season Spring to Summer,and Fall to Winter.

During these happenings I go to our local (small) hospital and am given Solu-Medrol-by IV for three days,on an outpatient basis.  This IV for three or four days is given over a period of 4 hours each day to avoid a severe headache. I'm generally good to go until the next "change of season.
