I saw a Doctor Yester day.He gave me some pain meds. For my headache.And Monday morning they are doing a mri of my cervical spine. i hope they find out what is causeing these headaches.i just have to try and get through the next 3 days at work.But its hard with a bad headache.  thank you ladygreycloud/susan 

I so understand the pain of both of you who suffer from! What I like to call "The MONSTER" who live in my head!!! I suffer from Chronic daily headaches for 12yrs now. I have only been diagnoised with MS for 6yrs! Yes! (It took that long before they discoverd that I had MS!!) some days I want to just be totally knock out! My headache never goes away! On a good day my head is at a 4 on a pain scale! I have been everywhere for help! I have had trigger point injection, hospital stays with heavy pain medication that lasted for a week or 2. The only relief i fell is when I'm completely knock out! I have my head hurt so bad that it has woken me up out of a deep sleep screaming as if, someone has beat me in my head in my sleep! I sometimes have a frying type pain thats all over my head but mostly in the back left side too! I have a hard time staying focus, often dizzy and off balance! And let not for get blurred vision, nausea a vomiting when it at it's worst! I have been told there were rebound headaches from pain medication was the cause of them! But how can that be if the Headaches never really got relief? If anyone do happen to find relief please let me know??? I pray you find relief! Because, I wouldn't wish this type of pain on my worst enemy!  sincerely, Trying 2 remain positive/Tonya

Hi all, Well i got my mri back on my Mri cervical spine. They said i have degentative disc diease in my neck to.they want to do surgery.But i have appointment for a second opion the 30th of this month.I really hate all of this.  thank you.  hugs Nancy

Well sorry i haven't been on for a while,But my headaches ened up being a tumor on my brain,I had two but they removed the big one.They can't do nothing for the little one because it is in a place where they could mess up my speech and other things. But to make a long story short.The tumor went from my lungs to brain.It is cancer. I was in the hospital 3 days in iCU after taking the big tumor.I start radiation soon.They said it's uncurable.But i am going to fight this and win.I am going back to Billings today to get my stiches out. I was diagnosed with MS in 2000.  Throughout these years i haven't had any "real" MS relapses. Nothing major has happened but this past month.  From the end of July to now I have had a constant headache.  I wake up with one or i end up going to sleep with one.  I scheduled an appointment to see my neurologist and hopefully get some type of medication.  I am so like you..some days i just want to be knocked out.  I have a very high tolerance for pain and i have told my husband several times..if this pain was put on somebody else I really don't even think they would be able to get out of bed.  My pain level right now is at a 6 but i have to deal with it because I have 2 kids who can't afford for their mom to be out of it. When the headaches get worse my pain level is at a FULL BLOWN 10 and right then and there I can't get out of bed. Hoping for the best for all those who are suffering and hoping that someone can give me some kind of help!!!!  Cindy

how did they find out you had ms.

I was diagnosed with MS  2 1/2 years ago and I  hope this helps you.  I started  with numbness in my toes which led to the numbness developing up to the face and the mouth within the year. I was working and taking care of my mother and to me I just thought I was really over doing and my stress level was quite high.  My mother was put in a home after she fell and it was very hard to watch.  I have scoliosis so I thought it was that.  I nwent to my family doctor and he suggested an MRI.  You have to start somewhere and that was the beginning.  I had some balaqnce issues but  again I felt it was exhustion.  Start with your family doctor.

Tonya, I too have these headaches that you are describing. However, I have found that my oxygen sats are very low. They oscillate back and forth from 92 to the low 70s. So, I am on oxygen 24/7. Flying has been ruled out for me because I now have strokes after flying. Since March of this year, which is when I had my last ischemic stroke, I have had a nonstop headache. Doctors just nod their heads when you tell them about this. Nod, nod and nod. NO one really seems to understand or have an idea of what is really going on. I have so many lesions and what they call artifacts that they can't count them. They say it is MS, but then, they try to disprove the MS. I feel like a bouncing ball that they throw between doctors and MRIs, and radiologists.

I just had my 3rd LP. I will now see what it says. The other two were non-conclusive. Negative, in other words. They say that the only true way they can declare a person has MS is during the autopsy. Great, eh?

Ice on my head, or behind my head, heat on my back, and darkness plus sleep are my only salvation at this point. My headaches can start climbing back up the scale (they never go away) behind my right eye or in the back of my head. When bad, which is most of the time, the pain number is a 9. Vicoden does not touch it. NOTHING touches it. I just have to live with it. Like all of us do.

Try the ice, the heat, darkness, and sometimes submerse yourself into warm/not quite hot water for a few moments. Also, for nausea eat instant mashed potatoes. They will coat your stomach and rid you of that queasy feeling. Hope my words can bring some comfort to a few of us headache/MS suffers out there.
