Hi letty,
It is a dilemma when a task like housework interferes with your well-being. The problem is worse when the task is important as a clean house.
Be sure to talk with your doctor about your symptoms. There may be a simple treatment to ease the symptom. Now, the task.
If the problem is standing too long, plan to take a rest. If you have to stand for your job, such as retail, have a chat with your boss for a more accommodating schedule.
Cleaning your house can be done differently than you always have. Try getting help from your kids, roommates, or friends. Try working with your cleaning schedule. Perhaps you could clean one room today and another room tomorrow.
Maybe you could schedule by tasks and vacuum one day, finish the laundry one day, etc. Then, and here's the hardest change of all: relax your standards. Keep the house clean, but don't be obsessive to the point that it makes you have a flare.
Here's the thing. There are ways to work around tasks that cause symptoms to become more intense. The priority is your health. Be grateful for your abilities and take care of them. Relax and allow yourself to experience joy in life.
I hope something here has answered your question. I know it's not always as simple as I make it out to be, but sometimes a simple answer can be the foundation for a solution. Start here and mold it to fit your needs.
Please, letty, tell me if this helped you. Let us know how you are doing and if you need more.
