Q: i'm a 25 year old female & for the past 6 yrs I've had these episodes where I lose muscle control in my legs & I start to stutter. Sometimes I cant write. all test were negative

I have had 2 MRI's and blood work done and all have came back negative. I've also had a spinal tap which also came back negative. I know that something is wrong but I don't know what it is.

Hi Bfuller,  I'm sorry to hear you are going through this. It is so difficult to deal with these question marks. The only thing I can recommend is that you seek out (if you haven't already) a second, and if necessary a third opinion. Each doctor has her/his own limitations and considering the puzzle you are coping with.. it is definitely worth seeking out more expertise.

I hope you find answers soon.

This sounds like what happened to me. I had an MRI and discovered I had MS it was very hard to get a diagnoses because I was in the early stages. If you have test done for MS they can be negative or positive! Negative just means it could be, positive means yes you do. The best thing you can do is see a neurologist as soon as you can!

Do not give up!!! go get a 20th opinion if necessary. I felt the same symptons as you had. I also had  a spinal tap, MRI and thousands of blood work everything came back negative. I stopped looking for answers when a doctor recommended for me to see a phsycologist, the doctor thought the symptoms I was referring too where in my head. Unfortunately I never got better and in June 2011 I decided to go to another doctor and advised him of the symptons I am experiencing, again more test where done and finally the conclusion ...I do have  MS. I am scared Cry but relieved that finally I have a name to what has been causing me so much pain.

Sooooo two and half years of test (all negative), 7 doctors, a spinal tap and alot of blood work.....MS sometimes hides very well. Good luck to you and don't give up. Listen to your body, your body will never lie to you.Kiss
