Hello Gisella.
First of all I want to say how sorry I am that both you and your husband are going through all of this. I know you must be very concerned about your husband. The best possible advice I have to give to you would be to have him seen by a doctor or neurologist to ask if tests need to be done to check to see if MS is causing any of the symptoms you have been seeing.
I wish you the best of luck.
Hello Gisella:
Since your husband has AIDS (1995) and has developed Peripheral Neuropathy, the best thing he can do is to make an appointment to see a Neurologist. Peripheral Neuropathy comes with many diseases and disorders - it is not only seen with Multiple Sclerosis.
Regarding the last stages of MS, MS comes in a few varieties - it is not one size fits all. You would do well to buzz around the MS sites to read up on all the symptoms to the different types. No one should tell another of the last stages of MS because it would cause too much alarm.
But since your husband has other health issues, his symptoms may very well be a part of those issues. Peripheral Neuropathy for example also comes with Diabetes and circulatory disorders.
So you can see how there is no ONE answer to your question. I wish you and your husband the best.
Anne
