Hi liz,

This sounds pretty uncomfortable to me. It might be time to talk with your doctor. Doctors are always a good source of tips.

There are all kinds of diet recommendations meant to solve constipation. Lisa Emrich wrote a nice article here on Health Central on managing bowel dysfunction that may be able to help you.

Good luck, and let us know how you are feeling. I hope this helps.

Interesting to know. I was just thinking about adding the senna leaves to my tea collection. Maybe I'll think twice.

Did you read Lisa's article? I thought her suggestions might be helpful.

Hi,

I went to my doctor for this type of problem and she suggested Miralax. (It doesn't "loosen," it regulates.) You take it for a week. You can't taste it or feel texture when you mix it with water, I promise. I'm very sensitive to those things. Since the I have been more regular! It's a miracle since I hadn't been regular in about a year and a half. When I start getting "clogged up" again, I use it again and it regulates me again for another few months or so! That worked for me, it may be worth a try.

I hve heard that before - the Miramax - and my doctor said he agrees. I have had it before and it is tasteless. It may be worth a try.
