Does anyone have any thoughts on this pill that came out?
Just wondering about everyone thoughts on this pill that came out-for someone like me in the first throws of this illness when you hear it can slow down the progress you want to jump for joy but then again in limbo land you don't that right??
Suzanne,
Which pill are you talking about? There are a couple of oral medications which have yet to be reviewed by the FDA to slow down the disease (just like the injections do now).
There was a recent FDA hearing about Fampridine-SR (which is going to be called Amaya) but the decision on approval has been moved to January 22, 2010. It is not a disease-modifying drug, but one which is supposed to help improve nerve function.
Being in limbo IS NO FUN!! I wish that it were as easy as snapping the fingers and making it all go away. Sorry. Any progress at Shands though? Are they sticking with the Probable MS diagnosis?

Progress at Shands going slowly-just had another set of MRIs and never had ones likes these before-when they did my spine i could actually fell heat radiating up from the mat and before it was over I felt like I was on fire also thru me into a seizure. That wa w/o contrast and then of with it for some reason it kinda calmed me and we started again and had no problems that time. They ones of my brain and of my shoulders and spine. But I don't go back to neuro until the 23rd of Nov and really would like to know sooner!
Thanks for asking-really appreciated.
