Q: I need a free cooling hat, I receive a vest and other things one time. Can you help.

I ordered some other things several years ago and got all that I requested. I was so thankful. I ask for a cooling hat recently and have not heard. Do you know of anywhere that I might be able to obtain one. I am on Medicare and my $ goes to meds and doctor bills, and my regular bills. I would appreciate any help.

I was hopeing to have received one by this Thursday, I do volunteer work when I feel O.K. and I am going to be outside for 3 days in the sun. Do you have any advice.

Thanks Candy Lee

Hi Candy,

I've just been reading your questions.  On a different question, I left this advice but I'll leave it here in case others read this and need the same information.

The Multiple Sclerosis Association of America (MSAA) offers a Cooling Equipment Distribution Program.  They will provide a multiple sclerosis patient with two cool items with a simply application form.  The income requirement limits the program to those who earn less than 300% federal poverty level.

I've received a couple of items through this program which have helped me tremendously when I really needed to keep my body temperature down.  It takes longer than a few days to receive the items, but it's so totally worth it.

I'm a lifelong hyperhydrosis suffer, badly NEEDING a free cooling vest. I'm under dermatologist care, & she's investigating the vest idea. I see her again in a month for further discussion. Cooling packs have really helped a lot, & she's aware of this. Can you tell me where to get a free cooling vest??? I sweat buckets & am miserable. I had 3 close calls w/ the summer heat. Thanx in advance. It's OK if you or someone has a used one to offer, will pay for shipping if needed. I can correspond from email. Thanx in advance for ANY help offered!!!!! Reply

I don't have ms, but still greatly benefit from cold packs. Ms place won't help, but I hope to obtain one somewhere. The until I have only has a knee water flow pad, but that's stationary, & runs off the current. I know it's bettern nothing, but I also need something portable. Thanx in advance. Reply
