Q: What is the connection between the thyriod and multiple sclerosis

My nuero wants a sonogram of my thyroid , but how does this pertain to my MS ?

Hi,

Thyroid problems can be completely separate from MS.  But I imagine (and just supposing) that having one autoimmune disease such as MS can increase the likelihood that you might have a 2nd autoimmune disease (perhaps one which effects the thyroid).  Please let us know how it goes.
