Linda is just living life.

07/29/09

This morning, I noticed that my eyes were not focusing quite right.  Thought I was just still sleepy.  Now, I have totally blurry vision and slight double vision, and my right arm is tingling to my fingers and weak.  My typing is horrible (using backspace key toooo much).  I have a slight tremor in my right hand.  Could this be another MS attack, especially if it last 24 hours or more?  It scares me when I have blurred vision.  By the way, I am still in limbo.  Thanks, Linda

Hi Linda,

Thess symptoms do sound pretty suspicious, especially if they last at least 24 hours.  I don't think the vision and tingling are because of sleepiness.  It would be a good idea to call your neurologist in a day or two.

Until then, take care of yourself.  Relaxing and resting sound like a good plan to me.

Good luck and I hope this doesn't last too long.  We don't know how much the backspace can take.

In my expperience, I've had it for 12 yrs., I would say " yes absolutely, call your neurologist asap! The sooner they treat it, the less likely symptoms will stay with you." Please call your neurologist!

Hey Linda!  I'm with you!  I started another bout 2 weeks ago.  It has gotten progressively worse.  Still in limbo too...although the MS Clinic here is seeing me; they won't say what it is.  My vision starts to go first too.  It is almost as if it is warning me of an impending exacerbation.  Blurry vision SUCKS!  Especially when you are used to perfect vision.

My doctor was supposed to put me on the IV Steroids; but he was out of town and wants to do one more blood test...ugghhhh!  So I get to suffer without help.  Not that I wanted to have it; I had to force myself to agree with them to do it...who wants to gain weight?  But, each exacerbation only levels off some of my symptoms; I haven't been myself in over 3 years now.

Sorry for carrying on...I just wanted you to know you aren't alone!  I'll be praying for you!

Hi Holly,  Thanks for writing back and carrying on Laughing.  It's nice to hear from people who know what I am going through.  It's extremely frustrating going through the symptoms without a firm diagnosis.  I don't even complain to anyone anymore...I just pretend nothing is happening, so that I don't get those looks like I am faking or something.  I appreciate the prayers.  I'll do the same for you.  God will help us through these difficult times.  Take care.  Linda
