Hi Sharon,

Wow, that's quite a list of medical complications.  I'm so sorry that you're experiencing all of that right now.  It must be scary and frustrating.

To diagnose MS, you should consult a neurologist.  Even better a neurologist who specializes in multiple sclerosis.  Here is a description of the various tests used to diagnose MS as there is not a singular test involved.

In preparation of that initial visit, start a symptom diary to document what you are experiencing.  Compile a history of your medical diagnoses and complaints which were not diagnosed.  These will help you and your doctor consider the possibilities.

Good luck and thanks for your question.  Feel free to come back if we can help with anything else.

Hello

Lisa has already given some excellent advice so I will just add a few thoughts I had.

Has your doctor said that any of these symptoms could be related to the heart attack you had?  I would wonder about that as you experienced it more recently.

In my opnion the best test aiding doctors to diagnose MS is the MRI.  Have you had one yet?

I do hope you get to the bottom of things but I also hope you don't add yet another diagnosis.

Good luck to you!
