Hi Barbara

Welcome to MS Health Central.  I am glad that you found us.  We will try to give you as much help as we are able.

I know this must be a very worrisome time for you and your son.  It is good that at least they have ruled out one of the MS mimics...of diabetes.  Has your son's doctor talked about doing any other tests?

I am going to give you the link to our web page which discusses the various MS symptoms for you to look at.

One thing you can do is to write all of these symptoms down including when they begin and end, how severe they are, and if there are any precursors such as your son feeling overheated or having a virus.

I just wrote an article for the folk who are in limbo that I would suggest you read as it has tips of what to ask and tell the doctor.

I wish I could tell you not to worry and that he will be fine.  But I am not a doctor and the best I can offer is information and support.  I would ask the doctor point blank if MS could be a possible reason for his symptoms.  These symptoms could very well be caused by other things...even multiple causes.

So do have hope.

Let us know if you have any other questions.  We are here to help!
