Hi Scohen68,
Sometimes it can be difficult to get an accurate diagnosis, whether it be MS or something else. Here is a post with basic information about diagnosing MS - http://www.healthcentral.com/multiple-sclerosis/c/19065/62496/guide
Sounds like you have already had MRI scans looking for lesions. If not, you should see an MS specialist and undergo a specific type of MRI testing designed to detect the type of changes which occur with MS. To find an MS specialist in your area, you can call the National MS Society (nmss.org) or check out the listings at http://www.mscare.org/search/custom.asp?id=881 .
There are other tests which can help in making a diagnosis, but without evidence of lesions, then you would not satisfying the criteria for an MS diagnosis. Are your doctors offering any other diagnosis? What do they think is going on?
Lisa
