Hi ferny,

There are different types of nerve conduction tests.  One common type is used to test for nerve damage/impingement caused by things such as carpal tunnel syndrome.  There are evoked potential tests which can measure how quickly nerve impulses travel.  Evoked potential testing is used to help diagnose MS.
