Hi Phwootie,

Yes, I have, although I've not read much on the topic.  This summer my neurologist suggested that we add an immunosuppressant (ie a chemotherapy agent) on top of Copaxone.  I already take one for my rheumatoid arthritis so adding another didn't really make sense.

Chemotherapy drugs which are sometimes used include Imuran and Methotrexate.

My neurologist has put me on chemotherapy for my secondary progressive MS.  I get an infusion of Novantrone once every 3 months with a lifetime maximum of 8 - 12 infusions.  The Novantrone is potentially dangerous to the heart, so before each treatment I must get a MUGA scan, where I am injected with radiation that bonds to the red blood cells so that the heart functions can be tracted.

Here is the site my neuro sent me to for research:

Hope this is helpful.
