Q: Hi, I was wondering if someone with MS can see a regular neurologist or should the neurologist specialize in MS? Thank you.

Hi Cassandra,

While it is recommended that a person diagnosed with MS have a neurologist who specializes in MS, many general neurologists may be fine in helping to care for an MS patient.  You can find MS centers or neurologists by searching here - http://www.mscare.org/search/custom.asp?id=881

I know some people who see both a general neurologist and an MS-specialist neurologist periodically.
