Q: Pain in head, change in muscle function in face and vision

Over the past few months I have noticed a change in the muscles in my face and around my left eye. My vision has become noticeably worse. I have always had 20/20 vision.  On and off through out the day I am experiencing a feeling that the ground is moving underneath my feat and i feel like I need to grab onto something. I also experience the "ice pick headaches" on a daily basis. I am more tired and am not sleeping well.  This has all become more worse after having my second child 11 months ago, but I have definitely noticed a difference in the past few months. I do not have a PCP and wont have health insurance until January. Any suggestions on a cause or treatment?

Hi rrobinson,

Congratulations on your baby!  Without being able to see a doctor, it is impossible to know what is causing your symptoms but something must definitely be going on.  Do you have MS?  If so, you may be in relapse and need to see a neurologist.  You may be experiencing a different neurological disorder, but again you need to see a doctor.  I'm not sure you should put this off until January.
