Q: How do I go about asking my Dr. to test me for MS? am told it's nothing but anxiety .

I don't feel like it is anxiety. I have pain that seems to move throuout my body. even in my mouth.  The wordt pain is in my legs when I walk.  Sometimes I can barely move them and then it goes in my back, too. It takes 5 minutes to relaz them. My feet and legs cramp up a lot now.I try to stretch and then wham! cramp. I want to enjoy wlking outdoors again, but this pain keeps me from doing that. So what is wrong. The doctors don't listen. How can I get them to listen. I also have intestinal problems and incontinence issues.Help!

Hi sosore,

It can be challenging talking to your doctor when you KNOW that something isn't right.  It's most important to share your symptoms in a clear way.  Be honest, but try to be calm.  Definitely let the doctor know HOW the symptoms are affecting your ability to do your normal activities.  A good doctor will listen and try to help problem solve with you.

It can be hard to stretch and relax legs, but it is definitely worth the time to do so.  Sometimes making sure that you eat a balanced diet (including potassium and magnesium-rich foods) will help keep muscles in better shape.  Ask your doctor to check you blood levels to see if there are some vitamin deficiencies.

Good luck.
