Hi Theresa (I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that is your name! ;)

I stopped Solumdrol on April 23rd and I'm still dealing with certain side effects. (Those being, retained water that has me looking 8 months pregnant and not fitting in to any of my clothes, increased appetite...  though unrelated to my  clothes issue, and heartburn.)  I've had MS for 22 years, and have had a number of different steroid treatments. Every time is completely different. And there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason. The best thing to do, is be in contact with your physician's office. I had heart palpatations during my last go round (09) and went to have an ekg at my primary care physician's office. Your doc will be able to determine if any of these side effects need more attention.

I hope that you are doing ok, and start to feel better soon!

Best,

Amy

Yes, I completely agree with Amy's comment.  I have had MS for 10 years and have had steroids numerous times.  Each time was different.  The only thing that ALWAYS occurs for me is a nasty case of heartburn so I get on Zantac every time.  I have also experienced heart palpitations and I from what I remember they lasted about a month.  Good luck and I hope you feel better soon! -Marisha

I to have used solu medrol several times. Intergestion, Yes, but...look inside your mouth. You may actually have thrush (yeast inbalance) try eating some yogurt once or twice a day for a week. See if the problem goes away. I am not a doctor, I am a patient with MS and the steriods did it to me. Hope I have helped
