Is it normal to have spasticity longer than numbness?

I am still in the "undiagnosed" category, having my first severe episode 2 months ago where my entire right side of the body went numb.  Stroke ruled out.  Currently in the process of switching neurologists because I'm tired of the one I've been seeing telling me it's "hormones" causing it  - have already had 3 appointments with him and nothing done.  He wanted me to wait another 6 weeks before "considering" a spinal tap after a 4th appointment.  That's when I said forget it, time for a new neurologist who knows what they're doing (hopefully) or can at least give me some kind of logical answer for my symptoms.  My numbness has been slowly wearing off, but my muscles feel constantly tight in my back, groin, legs (tight band in thigh), toes, hand, arm, shoulder, shoulder blade, chest (very MS hug feeling).  Pretty much anything that bends feels stiff on my right side, but everything on my left feels normal.  Just curious if it is normal for the numbness to wear off and have all this stiffness remain?  It hasn't improved since it first set in almost 2 months ago, so I am losing hope that it will ever go away.
