Q: is this painful urostomy a forever thing?qill i ever be able to have it removed?

is there any hope for c drug to halt the progression of the symptoms of m.s,?

Hi MaryD,

 

While the current drugs do not stop the progression of MS entirely, they do help to some extent.  Hopefully someday, there will be options for patients who have chronic progressive forms of the disease. 

 

Seems that living with MS is a challenge in adapting to changing circumstances.  I don't know if a urostomy is a permanent thing.  I don't know if surgery to restore the original urinary tract system is something which is done normally. 

 

Definitely talk to your doctor and/or nurse about the pain.  Perhaps there is something which can be done to reduce the pain you experience.
