Q: I have a burning sensation that is on the right side of my head and travels to the top of my shoulder. The burning is 24 hours a day. I also get what I call an attack. It is best described as a

flaming poker stabbing me over and over. I get these attacks everyday. It ranges from as few as 1 to as many as 19+. They last from a few seconds to over 1+ minutes. I have seen many different specialists as well as going through the gammit of tests and meds. Nothing seems to be found or even help me.

Hi Edward,

That sounds so very painful.  I wish that an obvious cause would be easily found for you, but it also sounds like you've been through many doctors without any real answers.  Don't give up!!

Do you have a neurologist who is an MS specialist?  If not, I highly recommend finding one.  Call the local office of the National MS Society for a recommendation.  Please keep us posted as you learn anything new.

To help others who might find your question and feel that they are experiencing something similar, could you describe the different tests and treatments you've tried?  It would also be helpful to those who want to try to give you advice as well.
