Jan,

I've developed nystagmus (fairly mild, but still) and it started with me feeling disoriented and a little woozy when I'd look from piano music the the piano keyboard while teaching my students.  I couldn't stay focused on anything either.

Also, trying to complete the visual fields testing is torture!!

When this was really noticed at the neuro's office, I was experiencing some other issues as well and we did the steroids (and did them again a month later).  Some things still set off my eye and it's really annoying, but thankfully I still have vision.

Just wanted to let you know that I can sympathize a bit.  :(

I've had MS for 10 years and was just diagnosed with acquired Nystagmus (eye movement).  They move all the time!  I went to a specialist -Neurological Optimologist.  In my case they just said Baclofen (already taking it for spasticity).  I would definitely make an appointment.  They may have other options for your situation.  Take care of yourself!
