Q: Do people with MS tend to be at risk for other autoimmune disorders?

About 3 years ago, my MRIs showed a thyroid goiter.  Now I have multinodular thyroid goiter.  My iodine and thyroid levels are considered normal, but I am considering asking for a referral to someone who specializes in endocrinology.  Many of the symptoms I suffer, from what I've read, could be caused by overactive thyroid.

I was just informed that I have the same thing; they are going to send me for a scan so they can see if they are hot or cold.

Google MS and thyroid nodules...there is a lot of evidence that says that having MS can lead to a higher susceptibility of thyroid issues.

Please let me know how it goes.  I haven't been able to get my neurologist to refer me to endocrinologist.  Or any other specialist as far as that goes.  I will be very interested to hear what you find out. I do hope you your tests don't indicate anything too difficult for you to deal with.
