Hi Cathie,

Just two weeks ago, my blood was tested and I was found to be severely Vitamin D deficient.  Vitamin D is necessary for the absorption of Calcium (a very important mineral).

I've just started a prescription Vitamin D regimen and will write about my experience.  Some of the symptoms of Vit D deficiency are very similar to symptoms of MS.  We'll see how supplementation helps.

Most certainly you should probably be taking a daily multi-vitamin w/ mineral pill.  Our bodies need the extra support since often times our diets don't provide enough necessary nutrients.

How are you feeing now?  Has there been any changes?

Hi cathie - I was not able to find specific information on our site about trace minerals and MS.  However, if one of the keys to keeping our bodies healthy is with these trace minerals (iron, sulfur, clacium, etc), then it would seem logical any imbalance could effect MS or any other ailment too.

You may want to review the MS Symptoms guide while seeking ways to raise your trace minerals and then see if you symptoms are improved or declined.  You should always work with a doctor to get professional medical advice and treatment.

Hope this helps, all the best, sue

IN ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION,  I HAVE HAD M S FOR 40 YEARS AND I HAVE NOT EVER BEEN TOLD ANYTHING ABOUT LACK OF MINERALS.  ONE THING I HAVE FOUND OUT IS,  YOU CANNOT SIT IN HOT TUBS.  IT CAUSES PROBLEMS FOR ME.

GOD BLESS.  MAYBE I'LL SEE YOU ON FACEBOOK.   MARY STINEBRICKNER

Hi Cathiek,

I was diagnosed with MS 22 years ago. I tried a liquid mineral supplement in the past. It seem to help then and I bought a different one recently but it seems to hve no effect.

I saw a doctor about a month ago who asked "what kind of watr I was drinking?"

I replied filtered water of course and he told me that I should be drinking alkalione water. A friend of mine drinks that kind of water and tells me that there is over 300 minerals in.

I read an article on the internet yesterday where this woman says that after drinking alkaline water for two weeks that her MS saymptoms went away. I can go for that, anyone would. i understand that water can go for $1 a jug and I will try that.

Clara :)
