Hi Allison,   Welcome.  I'm sorry to hear that you have developed trigeminal neuralgia (TN).  I have experienced facial pain but the cause was different from MS (ie. not TN).  However, gabapentin does help relieve that pain when it flares up.    If your dose of gabapentin doen't seem to be doing much for you, call your neurologist and see if changes can be made.  There are also surgical treatments for trigeminal neuralgia which are discussd briefly on the Johns Hopkins website.   I hope that you are able to find some relief.  Lisa
