Q: Lips and tongue numb

My lips and tongue have been about halfway numb for about a month.  My sense of taste is diminished and the sensitivity of my lips and tongue has also gone down.  Other than the aforementioned ailments, I am in good health and exercise daily.  I do not take anything other than a vitamin C supplement on a daily basis.

When I experience these symptoms, it usually has something to do with food or drink.  I do believe that I get these sxs when I go "off the prescribed list"....may have nothing to do with your case but I just wanted to mention it

Jan,

I have experienced similar symptoms with numbness in my face and lips.  It is a strange sensation, and after a hit of steroids (prednisone) I can now feel my face but my lips are still a bit numb.  I agree with you about it's an MS Fault - but I hope it's something that will not be bothersome for you.  Are you, or have you been, on any MS meds to help with your numbness?  Perhaps you should (if you haven't already) consult your MS physician.

We are here for you at HC!  Hope I have helped.Cool
