Hi Cathy,

I'm a little confused.  Are you saying that it has been 20 years between MRI scans and that what lesions are seen now were also seen then, so there's been no change on the MRIs?  There is something called l'Hermittes sign which is described as a shooting, electrical pain which occurs when you bend your neck forward.  This is seen in MS.

If you feel that you need another opinion, please do not hesitate to seek out another neurologist.  Preferably someone who specializes in MS.  If you feel that you are being dismissed, then please do seek another opinion.
